Do you already have pumpkin fever?

I've wanted to try the famous Pumpkin Spice Latte for years, but unfortunately the Pumpkin Spice Latte was nowhere to be found in the area where I live. I've also always put aside trying the Pumpkin Spice Latte myself. Sometimes it was also a reason that I couldn't buy a Pumpkin Spice spice in the supermarket or health food store where I live. In short, I always found an excuse not to make the Pumpkin Spice Latte myself or I was probably just too lazy to do so. Who does not know it? Sometimes the smallest bit of effort is just too much.

Nevertheless, a few weeks ago I signed up at Just Spices (https://www.justspices.de/) bought some spices again. I like to order a few spices there once or maybe twice a year. With the last order I ordered the well-known Pumpkin Spice spice. Of course you can also create this yourself and put it together yourself. There is a nice description and instructions for this at Kitchen Stories, for example

After some Googling I got some ideas for my pumpkin pie latte. Basically, each of the recipes contained the same ingredients. There was coffee or espresso, milk of your choice, sweetness of your choice and of course pumpkin puree and the pumpkin spice, which couldn't be missing.

My version is therefore hardly different from the other recipes that you can find on the Internet. Nevertheless, I wanted to share with you today how I make my pumpkin pie latte and how I ended up tasting it the best.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients (for 1 cup):

  • 150ml plant milk of your choice (I usually choose almond milk or oat milk, they just taste best to me)
  • a coffee or an espresso
  • ¼ tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin puree
  • optional 1 tbsp maple syrup

Preparation:

In a small blender, combine milk, spices, maple syrup and pumpkin puree. I use my little smoothie blender here. Then warm the milk in a small pan and pour it into a coffee cup, prepare the desired coffee or espresso separately and add to the milk and enjoy immediately.

Of course you could also use more pumpkin puree for the latte, I have to admit that I tried it and didn't like it anymore. I don't usually need extra sweetness, especially when using the oat milk, but I added a bit of maple syrup to the Pumpkin Spice Latte. However, this is optional.
I liked this version best and I hope that you enjoy it too and treat yourself to a Pumpkin Spice Latte again and again in the future.

I would appreciate if you tag me @deboraswellness on social media when you treat yourself to your own latte and I wish you all the best
