I can hardly believe that today is already the first Advent. Is it just me, or did this year go by particularly quickly? I still remember when it was January 1st and I went ice skating with my family and ushered in the new year and now it is already Advent time for the new year.

Therefore, today's blog post is dedicated to the topic of Advent. The Advent season is THE PEACEFUL TIME of the year. Often, however, this contemplative time goes under, as we usually have more to do than during the rest of the year. Everything pending has to be done by the end of the year, plus buying gifts and of course planning for Christmas and New Year's Eve.

During this time, the sweet delicacies lurk more than ever in the supermarket and everywhere you look. No wonder that with the extra stress, it is all the more difficult to resist the sweet sins.

So that you can stay in balance this Advent season and nourish your body with healthy and nourishing food and that extra portion of selfcare is not missing, I share my tips with you so that you can enjoy a wonderful, contemplative Advent season and also stay stress-free and in your balance will.

Start your day right

If there's one thing I've learned in the past few years, it's that the morning routine is hugely important. How we start the day is the foundation. We decide how the rest of the day will go. If we turn our attention to the outside first every day, then we are not only distracted, but all our valuable energy is directed outwards. It is therefore all the more important to start the day with a little time for yourself. Be it a little breathing exercise, some stretching or yoga or meditation. It can also be that you enjoy the peace and quiet and drink your coffee, or write down your thoughts in your diary. There is no right or wrong here. It is important that you do what is right for you.

The right breakfast will help you to optimally nourish your body, support your digestion and start the day full of energy.
It is difficult to be in control of every meal, especially during Advent and between the holidays. You are invited, the delicacies lurk everywhere. How you start the day and what is on your breakfast table is entirely up to you. And so you have the opportunity to start the day optimally and full of self-love.

Small breaks every day
Perhaps I will repeat myself on this point as well. This repetition may also be necessary. Taking it easy every now and then or taking small breaks doesn't mean you're lazy. On the contrary, they are necessary so that you stay grounded, stay in your balance and thus also remain productive. All it takes is a few minutes a day. Allow yourself to pause and pause briefly every day, to take a deep breath and so grounded, to walk productively through the day in your power.

Mindful movement
In my opinion, mindful movement is one of the fastest ways to let the energy flow. Start your day with 5-10 minutes of stretching or another form of movement and feel inside yourself before and after. How are you doing? How do you feel. Movement not only lets energy flow, our body is made to move. Exercise has many advantages. It can have a positive effect on your mood, it can strengthen your body, it brings you more balance and it can also strengthen the immune system.

Magic your own creation
The last point is mainly about the holidays and the topic of nutrition. Perhaps you have managed to provide your body with healthy and nourishing foods for the past few months and would like to stick with it during the holidays. Perhaps you want to start now to nourish your body and provide it with wonderful nourishing energy. Perhaps you would like to bring something to the festival out of gratitude. Whatever your intention, make your own creation. You not only know which ingredients are included, you take part in the festival, you give love with your creation and nourish yourself and your fellow human beings with lots of love and nourishing, energetic meals.

If you are missing the idea for a delicious dessert, I have attached a little inspiration for you. Whenever you need something healthy and nourishing yet sweet, this recipe is the perfect solution.
