A nd just like that ... it was autumn.
I don't know how you are, I was energetically still feeling energetically in the late summer feeling during September, because this month was so warm and sunny here. With the month of October, I have the feeling that autumn came flying in from one day to the next. The trees have changed color, the leaves are falling and the temperature here is now clearly in line with the season.
I am someone who values and loves all four seasons and their beauty. I got a little more trouble with the winter over the years. This is because I get cold very quickly and my skin is extremely dry over the winter time. Nevertheless, I love winter, the fairy tale landscape that it brings with it when it has freshly snowed and everything rests and stands still. Nature takes a break and it should be the same with us. We are natural beings. But often we live against our nature. Therefore, winter invites us to rest a little more, to make ourselves comfortable at home, to settle down.
So that you can prepare your home for winter, I am sharing a few of my autumn wellness favorites and routines with you today. Of course, a delicious recipe is waiting for you again.
Favorit 1: SELF-CARE
Autumn invites you to pay more attention to your self-care routine. It's perfect for setting up your home, to make yourself comfortable again for the coming months. For example with candles, a diffuser with essential oils, a few plants and flowers or just a blanket, a cup of tea and a good movie or book.
That brings us to the topic. I love books more than anything. I could never own an e-book reader and read my book online. I travel online very often, most of my work is online. When it comes to books, I'm very old-fashioned. The same goes for the letter. I love receiving and writing letters. Just as I love writing the diary. It helps me to organize my feelings and thoughts and to express myself.
Today I would like to share a few of my book favorites with you. If you are looking for a good book, it might be a little inspiration for you to buy and read one of the books.
I firmly believe that a book falls into our hands for a reason at a certain point in time. I've seen this many times myself. Often I have already bought a book and read it months later. The timing was just not the right one beforehand.
EAT PRAY LOVE by Elizabeth Gilbert
A few weeks ago I saw the film for the second time. EAT / PRAY / LOVE is something like that I live and embody every day. During the film, it suddenly occurred to me why I had actually never read the book before. So I went straight to the computer and bought the book. It is a very entertaining and inspiring book and I can recommend it to anyone looking for a good book for autumn.
Das Experiment Hingabe by Michael Singer
This book is one of my all-time favorite books. I try to live by this book every day. Michael describes his own story. All he wanted was to be alone, to live and meditate in his hut in the forest. But life had other plans for him. The day he decided to stop resisting life and following the energy of the universe, everything changed ...
We all have our plans and ideas about how something should be or what we want to believe. It is very difficult to just let go and trust. I practice it every day. Every morning I sit in my meditation and pray to the universe that it will show me the way, guide me and that it will help me to serve for the highest good of all. Too often I get in the way of the larger plan with my own plan, but I always try to pull myself back and trust the plan of the universe. If, like me, you want to trust the bigger plan and follow the path for which you are here, then this book is a MUST.
Das Universum steht hinter dir by Gabby Bernstein
Mit diesem Buch hat meine persönliche spirituelle Reise vor einigen Jahren angefangen. Wie schon erwähnt, glaube ich fest daran, dass es einen Grund hat, warum wir ein bestimmtes Buch lesen. So war definitiv für mich bestimmt, dass ich auf dieses Buch gestossen bin. Ob du spirituell wie ich damals am Anfang stehst, oder nicht, es ist in meinen Augen ein empfehlenswertes Buch.
Favorit 2: FOOD
CHAI LOVE
If, like me, you like to drink something warm, then I definitely recommend reading my Coffee Talk with unmynd (https://deboraswellness.ch/unmynd-coffee-talk/) if you have not already done so. I love the unmynd chai latte. The combination of raw cocoa with the chai spices and the superfoods is the perfect mix in my opinion. Maybe you know what a wonderful effect there is in cocoa beans, which is one of the reasons why I love the Chai from unmynd so much. You may have heard of cocoa ceremonies. I can recommend everyone to take part in one. Cocoa is a great passion of mine, it is not only delicious and is considered a superfood, it is also known as a medicinal plant in some countries. All reasons why I enjoy cocoa almost every day, whether in my breakfast or as hot chocolate, in a cake or as a finished chocolate.
Here is a recipe for you, should you be a chocolate fan like me and prefer to enjoy a hot chocolate instead of a chai latte:
Super simple hot superfood chocolate
Ingredients (for 1 person):
- 250ml oat milk or almond milk
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or coconut blossom syrup
- optional: some turmeric powder
Preparation:
Put the milk in a small pan and heat it over medium heat. In the meantime, add the cocoa and cinnamon and stir into the milk with a whisk. Add 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup as required and let everything simmer again briefly and stir well. Fill into your favorite cup and enjoy immediately.

Favorit 3: MOVEMENT
As already mentioned above, autumn and winter invite you to relax more, settle in more at home and just enjoy BEING. Therefore, I also invite you to just enjoy the silence for a few moments and just BE. Right now I'm really enjoying just BEING. Just do nothing for a moment. At the moment, my evening routine consists of not sitting on my meditation cushion after the children are in bed, but just lying on the floor, putting my hands on my stomach and taking a moment, deeply and exhale. I bring my attention to the energy field of my body, so I am automatically not focused on my thoughts, but just feel my breath. Favorite 4: SPIRITUALITY
When some hear the word spirituality, they immediately have a certain image in their mind. In my opinion we are all spiritual. Each in his own way. For me it's like meditation standing in the kitchen. Others can really switch off when they work out. It is difficult to express spirituality in words. I'm trying right now, but what comes next is a feeling and not a word. Words are nothing but energy. It is the same with spirituality. It's about the energy, the feeling it creates. So it can be spiritual when you clean your apartment or play with your children or watch a movie.
Important, there is no right or wrong. This is also not the case with spirituality.
It is important that you find the one that is right for you. You can find this by paying attention to the feeling behind it. What feelings are aroused in you? People, things, actions, everything triggers a certain feeling in us. This is also the reason why we like certain things better than others or we love to hang out with certain people because they arouse positive feelings in us.

The feeling this meditation gives me is so wonderful that every day I look forward to the moment when I sit down and do the meditation. I have done mantra meditations over and over again in the past. However, I've never felt it the way I feel it right now. As already mentioned, observe the feeling it triggers in you. Words are energies, oscillations, vibrations. When I chant my SA TA NA MA out loud in front of me, I feel the vibration in the whole body and I feel the free energies flowing.

Sweet autumn fruit bowl
Ingredients (for 1 person):
- ½ pear
- ½ apple
- 2 fresh figs
- 1-2 Medjool dates
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon and ½ teaspoon bourbon vanilla powder
- approx. 60-80g natural coconut yoghurt
- 1 teaspoon raw honey
- 1 teaspoon cocoa nibs
Preparation:
Cut the fruit into small pieces and place in a small bowl, add the yoghurt, and finally the toppings: top with honey, cocoa nibs, cinnamon and vanilla and enjoy immediately.
